MicroChem method uses small amounts of chemicals for effective results in a safe environment. There are many "safe" chemistry sets on the market. Most other kits have made the experiments boring in the interest of safety. This set is an exception, the experiments in this set are fun and interesting while maintaining a good level of safety. As with all sets that have some chemicals included, some adult supervision is recommended.
This is one of the best overall chemistry sets we have found.
