Foodstuffs and their adulteration

Foodstuffs adulteration consists in adding, voluntarily or sometimes accidentally, substances of inferior quality or sometimes substances that are even toxic. This is often done to give product scent, colors and in an attempt to make the product more appealing.
It is not always easy to detect the substances which have been added or spoiled unless they are inspected under the microscope.
Next time your mother buys cocoa, flour or other such products, I invite you to take your microscope and examine them personally.
