Hexapod Monster

The hexapod monster is a six-legged robot that walks forward until it detects an obstacle, in which case it backs up and turns before resuming its forward motion.
There is a separate gearbox for each side of the robot, allowing for differential control of the robot's motion.
Obstacle detection is performed through an infrared sensor at the front of the robot.
The kit consists of four die-cut and painted plywood panels, a printed circuit board, two motors and gearboxes, battery holders, and all necessary hardware and components.
The robot runs off of two AA batteries (motors) and a 9V battery (not included).
This kit does require soldering. (Soldering iron and solder are not included).
This Robot is an great, cost effective robot for anyone who has some previous soldering experience and would like to get started with robots. The instructions do not give basic instructions on how to solder so it is best if this is not the first soldering kit attempted.
