This microscope is one of the best performing and simple to use microscopes on the market today!
Light-weight and portable all metal construction makes it useful indoors or in the field.
The same (160mm) optical tube length and 45mm DIN System found on standard compound microscopes makes this instrument truly upgradeable.
Featuring the patented Swift "Quick-Focus®" System
- Rapid focus sliding tube for coarse focus
- Threaded fine focus.
- Easy for young and old to easily use.
Standard opaque black and white stage plate (which adapts well to most lighting situations)
Optional clear stage plate for those lighting conditions where you need strong back illumination
The stage plate can be removed for direct surface inspection below the stage.
- Examine surfaces -
  - Moss growing on a tree's bark
  - Lichens growing on a rock surface
  - TV screen to see the individual pixels and watch them change with the changing images.
Wide field 10x eyepiece with standard achromatic 2.5x objective provides an overall magnification of 25x.
- Change to an optional objective (simply unscrew the standard objective and screw in the optional objective)
  - Optional 4x objective provides 40x magnification.
  - Optional 10x objective provides 100x magnification.
  - Optional 40x objective provides 400x magnification - [not recommended for very young (under 9 years old) as focusing at this high power requires precise fine motor skills]
